Setting up the App

Creating your Checkm8tes profile can take 10 minutes or 2 hours depending on
the effort you put into it. Below you’ll find step-by-step instructions on getting started.

Step 1 - Sign Up

Step 2 - Email Verification

If you signed up with email, please verify the sign up via the link sent to the respective email.

Step 3 - Background Check

Every Checkm8tes user must pass a background check before creating an account.

*Note* – Please be honest about your marital status as lying about this is illegal is some States.

Step 4 - Getting to Know You

After you have passed the background check, you will be brought to a series of questions about you. These will populate the key information in your profile details. We recommend you complete this to improve the chances of you being recommended to others on Checkm8tes.

*Note* – A Profile Picture is mandatory.

Step 5 - Compatibility Survey

After you have completed the “Getting to know you” section you will be brought to the compatibility survey. This is a mandatory survey and will be the primary input for the matching algorithm.

*Note* – Please be thoughtful about the answers you provide here as they cannot be changed.

Step 6 - Start Exploring!

After you have completed the “Getting to know you” and “Compatibility Survey” sections you can now begin exploring! For more details on the Discovery features of Checkm8tes, please check out the Discovery Features Section of the Core Features.
